Election prediction come May 24th 2010. In a hastily called election the opposition party have overwhelmingly defeated the encumbent administration of the Right Honourable Patrick Manning’s PNM government. Neither prayers or Obeah played a part in the stunning victory by the UNC,CoP “People’s Partnership” combined party lead by Ms Kamala Persad-Besessar. Mr. Manning has finally received what his mom never gave him, a merceyless bumsy whipping by a woman of stature. Manning have been in contact with several publishing houses in the USA & UK trying to cut a deal for publication of his memoirs for young aspiring UWI minds. This is meant to be a lesson book to prevent repetition of the mistakes he made since he enetered political life, which like Basdeo Panday have lead straight to the political graveyard. Say hello to the Doc and Robbie too have tickets to join you past leaders. Long live the power of the people who gives power to the government for the betterment of the populace.
Thanks Baksh for not forgetting to throw in Basdeo Panday to that illustrious list, as anaddendum/afterthought. To think that these fools , are still surprise as to why political power remains an illusion.
Naive , overenthusiastic jokers like T. Baksh, are so busy organizing the May 25th victory parade , that they failed to recognize that this not a county election in one of our narrow tribal enclaves , but a run for national office, in a country where the two ethnic tribes are divided almost equally, and are always very much dependent on the actions of the other , for any victory from 1962 to present.
A word of warning for others with the T-Baksh arrogant mindset, that believes a Kmala victory is the end all solution to their perceived PNM problems.
I say do not be deceived into believing that Big DaDa Makandal D, Comrade McClod, Uncle Jack Warner, and Admiral Gypsy, are merely hangers on , and perhaps clones of the 86 ANR, Karl, and Hudson Phillip charade.
These alliance big boys today have been in the political wilderness too long,have endured so much in their struggles for respectability, and would see to it that she would not pull another Panday tribalistic jig and dance on the country.
They therefore would hold her and others of UNC hierarchy’s hands so close to the proverbial fire, that they feel that it is an iguana, Mannicou,and tatoo singeing wild meat manifestations taking place over the next 1 or three years they can amicably coexist together – if successful of course.
Just calm it down my friend , for while you can understandingly feel pride in the moment, others from the historically neglected trenches, are only inclined to remember ” dis is our time,” proclamations, a la post election 95.

PNMites can’t see pass the tip of their noses, you have to be really offended to respond w/a judgemental attack on the right of a person to freely expess their opinion. County or country, T&T’s election is a comedic event on the world’s stage and like an anus, we all have opinions of it. Your UWI mindset expressed a lot more about the fear you and people like you fear come May 24th. I am certainly looking forward to the changes you have suggested Baksh, led by PM Kamla, and President Dookeran. I too am looking forward to the day when my East Indian brothers are in total control of every aspect of our society like existing in Guyana. The reason is simple ,firstly, no longer would any other Trini tribes be blamed for anything that might go wrong in our country from henceforth.
Secondly , it would give me great pleasure to see Britain , USA , Australia, Canada, and India fall , simply because all our nationals would view Trinidad as a place worth living and investing again , and so most would return to repay and develop the land that gave them a start. Welcome home Uncle V.S Naipaul , our new Minister of Culture.
